Who we are
cheapwebsites.xyz ("we", "us") builds and hosts websites for small businesses in Australia and overseas. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, message us or become a client.
What we collect
- Contact details such as your name, phone or WhatsApp number and email address.
- Business information and content you send us to build your site, such as your logo, photos, text, opening hours and address.
- Account access you choose to share with us, such as domain or hosting logins, only so we can set up your site.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We see your name, the amount and whether a payment went through. We don't see or store your full card or bank account numbers.
- Website usage information such as pages viewed, device and browser type, collected through cookies and similar tools (see "Cookies and advertising" below).
How we collect it
Mostly directly from you: when you message us on WhatsApp, fill in a form, send us files or pay an invoice. Some information is collected automatically when you visit our website.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote.
- To build, host, update and support your website.
- To bill you, including your monthly hosting payment.
- To understand how people use our website and how our ads perform, so we can improve them.
- To meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations.
We won't send you marketing messages unless you've agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your personal information. We only share it with service providers that help us run the business, and only as much as they need:
- Website hosting (Hostinger)
- Payment processing (Stripe)
- Messaging (WhatsApp, owned by Meta)
- Form handling services, if your site or ours uses a contact form
- Analytics and advertising platforms (Meta and Google), if enabled on our site
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Information stored overseas
Some of our service providers store data outside Australia, for example in the United States, Europe or Asia, and our team works from outside Australia. By using our services you understand your information may be handled overseas. We choose reputable providers and take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected.
Cookies and advertising
Our website may use cookies and tools such as the Meta Pixel and Google tags. These help us see which ads bring people to our site and which buttons they tap, such as "Message us on WhatsApp". These platforms may use this information to show you our ads on Facebook, Instagram or Google.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad personalisation in your Facebook and Google account settings. The website will still work if you do.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while you're a client and for as long as we need it afterwards for tax, accounting and legal reasons. After that, we delete it or make it anonymous.
Keeping it safe
We use secure, password-protected accounts with reputable providers and limit who can access your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us. If you share logins with us, we only use them for the work you've asked for.
Seeing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we're not required to keep it. Just message us and we'll reply within 30 days.
